Greecobond, Thin Bed Mortar's are high performance glue/mortar's, specifically innovated, developed and formulated for use with all kinds of Bricks and Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) products. This thin Bed Mortar's brought to you by Citadel Group, are the natural choices to bond the brick/block masonry to each other rendering a strong mechanical bond with excellent adherence properties. This Thin Bed Mortar has been developed using recycled and reused waste material designed to reduce environmental impact, save water, improve energy efficiency, reduce maintenance and maximize building life. The use of alternative materials such as the environmental pollutants viz. fly ash, which works as a major filler and also modifies the product properties alongside some polymers in certain proprietary formulation. The product are so designed that besides the eco friendly aspect, they give value addition in the performance. There is saving on internal site logistics, labour, time, water and energy and is available in (15 kgs) bag and 45 kgs box, requiring no additions of any water at the job site. It is also free from post and pre curing which is the unique and distinct advantage to the industry, which is already struggling to secure water resource the world over. Installation Application over Bricks and Aerated Autoclaved concrete surface preparation Surfaces must be free of all bond-inhibiting materials, including dirt and other foreign particles, Using a brush, it is strongly recommended to clean any debris off of the Brick and AAC surface to be bonded moments before application and setting. Please do not wet the bricks/blocks before and after application of Greecobond.
Application Apply Greecobond Thin-Bed mortar with a notched trowel over both the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the Blocks then place in to position. Do not move the bricks/block unit after mortar has set, as this will break the bond. PS: The first layer on the slab should always be laid with regular mortar only(1:4).
